HONOLULU FIRE DEPARTMENT REOPENS MOBILE VACCINATION PODS

The Honolulu Fire Department’s (HFD) Incident Management Team has mobilized to reopen the four Mobile Vaccination Points of Dispersal (POD) where hundreds of patients received free vaccinations last month. The PODs are intended for patients who are returning for their second dose and anyone age 12 and above who wants to obtain the Pfizer vaccine. The Johnson & Johnson (J&J) vaccine will also be available for those age 18 and older. The HFD will provide logistical support to our community health care partners and assist with equipment, screening, check-in, line flow, and post-vaccination observation.

Who: Patients scheduled to return for their second dose of the Pfizer vaccine and any patients wanting their first dose of vaccine. The Pfizer or J&J vaccine will be administered by the respective organizations noted above.

The Honolulu Fire Commission is accepting applications for the Fire Chief position.

*Permits are NONREFUNDABLE.
*A permit does NOT guarantee firecrackers are available for purchase.
*Permits are required to purchase and use firecrackers for special events and holidays.
*Purchased permits shall be picked up at designated Satellite City Halls, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
*Last day to purchase an online permit for New Year’s Eve and Day is midnight on December 21, 2021 .
