HONOLULU FIRE DEPARTMENT PROVIDES RESCUE DATA

The Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) will conduct a media conference to discuss the recently collected data that shows how many land and ocean rescue incidents the Department responded to since the beginning of 2021. Data will also reveal the number of incidents that involved visitors.

What: HFD Rescue Operations

When: Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at 11:30 a.m.

Where: Koko Head District Park, 423 Kaumakani Street

Who: Rescue Fire Captains Clifford Miller and Blake Takahashi will provide an insight into the various types of rescue calls, discuss the rescue data, review important safety tips for the public, and encourage safe hiking in order to decrease the number of rescue incidents.

Firecrackers KEY FIRECRACKER PERMIT REMINDERS:
*Permits are NONREFUNDABLE.
*A permit does NOT guarantee firecrackers are available for purchase.
*Permits are required to purchase and use firecrackers for special events and holidays.
*Purchased permits shall be picked up at designated Satellite City Halls, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
*Last day to purchase an online permit for New Year’s Eve and Day is midnight on December 21, 2021 .
