UPDATE: CAUSE OF FATAL WAIANAE FIRE IS UNDETERMINED

UPDATE: The Honolulu Fire Department’s Fire Investigator has completed the investigation of the fatal fire at 85-567 Momona Place in Waianae and was not able to determine how this fire started. Pinpointing the origin and cause of the fire was difficult due to the large amount of combustible material that was stored inside the house as well as the storage of flammable liquids in different areas.

The Honolulu Fire Commission is accepting applications for the Fire Chief position.
