TWO PEDESTRIANS EXTRICATED FROM UNDERNEATH A SUV

The Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 12:55 a.m. for a motor
vehicle accident involving two trapped pedestrians in the vehicle parking area of 825
Keeaumoku Street. Four HFD units responded with approximately 14 personnel. The
first HFD unit arrived at 1:01 a.m. and reported two females, both appeared to be in
their 20’s, were trapped under a SUV. HFD’s Rescue 1 used pneumatic lifting bladders
to lift the SUV off the two trapped women, allowing fire fighters to extricate the two
women from underneath the SUV. Medical care was quickly handed off to on-scene
Emergency Medical Services Units. The HFD concluded operations shortly thereafter with no reported injuries.
