On August 27, 2021, at 11:53 p.m., the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) responded to a building fire at 3307 Pinao Street in Manoa with 10 units staffed with approximately 43 personnel. The first unit arrived at the scene at 12:01 a.m. on August 28, 2021 to find a working fire in a two-story, single-family residence. HFD personnel established command, secured a water supply, and initiated an offensive fire attack to suppress the flames and prevent further fire spread. The fire was brought under control at 12:20 a.m. and fully extinguished shortly thereafter. Four occupants were able to evacuate the burning structure. One female occupant was injured while trying to escape. The American Red Cross was notified and will be providing services to displaced individuals. This incident is still being investigated as to its origin and cause. Fire damage estimates are not available at this time.
