As part of its Honolulu Expanded Testing 2021 operation, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) and its All-Hazards Incident Management Team is adding Kapolei to its mass community COVID-19 testing sites. Starting Tuesday, September 28, 2021, the HFD will provide free COVID-19 tests in the parking lot of the Consolidated Theatres Kapolei, located at 890 Kamokila Boulevard. Hours of operation are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Tuesday until October 26, 2021.
The newest location will also be a drive-through COVID-19 testing site, resembling the sites at Aloha Stadium, Ewa Mahiko District Park and Waianae District Park. Appointments are not required. However, the HFD encourages anyone interested in getting tested to pre-register using the link below. If unable to pre-register, signage with QR codes will be posted upon entering all testing site locations and participants will have ample time to register before proceeding into the testing area.
At all four HFD locations, participants will be given the PCR or polymerase chain reaction test for COVID-19, which produces results in approximately 2-3 days. City agencies and the Hawaii Air National Guard continue to provide logistical support in this vital effort.
