HONOLULU FIRE DEPARTMENT IMPLEMENTING FREE COVID-19 TESTING AT EWA MAHIKO DISTRICT PARK

On behalf of the City and County of Honolulu, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) activated its All-Hazards Incident Management Team to launch its Honolulu Expanded Testing 2021 operation and will be conducting another mass community COVID-19 testing location.

Beginning Thursday, September 16, 2021, the HFD will provide free COVID-19 tests in the parking lot area of the Ewa Mahiko District Park, which is located at 91-1205 Renton Road in Ewa Beach. Hours of operation are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Thursday until October 28, 2021.

This will be a drive-through COVID-19 testing site, similar to the testing site currently underway at Aloha Stadium. The HFD encourages anyone interested in getting tested to pre-register using the link or the QR code shown below. If unable to pre-register, signage with the QR codes will be posted upon entering the Ewa Mahiko District Park and participants will be able to register before proceeding.

Also like Aloha Stadium, the Ewa Mahiko park operation will be providing the PCR or polymerase chain reaction test for COVID-19, which produces results in approximately 2-3 days. City agencies and the Hawaii Air National Guard continue to provide logistical support in this vital effort.
