VEHICLE FIRE EXTINGUISHED IN PEARL CITY

On July 3, 2023, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 6:54 a.m.
for a vehicle fire at 794 Lehua Avenue in Pearl City and responded with one unit staffed
with approximately four personnel. The first unit arrived at the scene at 7:01 a.m. to find
16 vehicles fully involved. Three additional units, staffed with six personnel, were added
to this incident.

Fire fighters immediately commenced an offensive fire attack and brought the fire under
control at 7:46 a.m. The fire was fully extinguished at 8:30 a.m. All HFD personnel were accounted for with no injuries.

The Honolulu Police Department requested the services of the HFD Fire Investigator to
determine the fire’s origin and cause and to provide damage estimates. An update will
be sent out once the final investigation report is complete.
