UPDATE 3 – HFD SUSPENDS OPERATIONS UNTIL TUESDAY

UPDATE: The Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) has suspended operations at the wildland fire above Mililani Mauka as of 6 p.m. The fire continues to burn in a remote, mountainous area which HFD ground units cannot access. The fire is approximately 160 acres and is 35% contained. The main portion of the fire is moving east on the ridge above Waikakalaua Stream. HFD’s drone will conduct a fire watch starting at 8
p.m. HFD will do another air reconnaissance at 7 a.m. tomorrow.

For anyone who may be affected by the smoke, the HFD recommends they shelter in place or a place with air conditioning. If anyone is experiencing difficulty breathing, please call 911 immediately.
