On November 10, 2023, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at
12:57 p.m. for a propane gas leak at a restaurant located at 1333 N. King Street and
responded with 3 units staffed with 11 personnel. The first unit arrived on scene at 1:01
p.m. to investigate the source of the leak and began evacuating the building as a safety
precaution.

HFD’s Hazardous Materials unit closed off Kamenani Street to minimize traffic in the
area. Hawaii Gas and Amerigas were called to the scene and arrived at 2:36 p.m. The
leak was mitigated and monitored by HFD and Gas representatives and the scene was
transferred to an Amerigas representative at 3:09 p.m.

All HFD personnel were accounted for with no injuries.
