UPDATE: The Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) Investigator has classified the cause of
the fire that occurred on December 2, 2023 at the updated address of 61-175 Punalau
Place in Haleiwa as accidental. The area of origin was the first floor living room and the
cause was due to arcing from an electrical outlet. The damage estimate is $1,005,000 to
the property and $90,000 to the contents.
