INJURED HIKER RESCUED ON THE LULUMAHU FALLS TRAIL IN NUUANU

On February 16, 2024, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 1:08
p.m. for an injured hiker on the Lulumahu Falls Trail in Nuuanu and responded with 6
units staffed with 17 personnel. The first unit arrived on scene at 1:17 p.m., established
command and ascended the trail on foot. The second-arriving unit secured a landing
zone to prepare for air operations.

It was reported that a male in his 30s suffered an injury and was unable to return to the

transported via Air 1 to the landing zone where medical care was transferred to the
Emergency Medical Services at 2:15 p.m.
