On March 22, 2024, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 1:51 p.m. for a building fire at 86-532 Halona Road and responded with 12 units staffed with approximately 37 personnel. The first unit arrived on scene at 1:58 p.m. to find a working fire at a small, single-story residence.
Fire fighters secured a water supply, commenced an offensive fire attack and declared the fire under control at 2:14 p.m. The fire was fully extinguished at 3:04 p.m. A primary and secondary search confirmed there were no occupants in the structure.
An investigation has been initiated to determine the fire’s origin and cause and to provide damage estimates. An update will be sent out once the final investigation report is complete.
