On March 27, 2024, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 7:56 p.m. for a building fire at 99-129 Pooholua Drive in Aiea and responded with nine units staffed with approximately 34 personnel. The first unit arrived on scene at 8:02 p.m. to find a working fire at a single-family residence.
Firefighters secured a water supply, initiated an offensive fire attack, and declared the fire under control at 8:19 p.m. The fire was fully extinguished at 9:05 p.m. Primary and secondary searches confirmed there were no occupants in the structure. The American Red Cross will be assisting the three occupants who were affected.
An investigation has been initiated to determine the fire’s origin and cause and to provide damage estimates. An update will be sent out once the final investigation report is complete.
