FIRE EXTINGUISHED IN NANAKULI

On June 1, 2024, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 6:55 p.m.
responded to a building fire near 89-598 Farrington Highway with 11 units staffed with 44 personnel. The first unit arrived on scene at 7:00 p.m. to find a one level, storage shed approximately 500 square feet in size, consumed with heavy smoke and flames from all sides.

Fire fighters secured a water supply and began an aggressive offensive fire attack on the main fire occupancy and protected the adjacent properties. The fire was quickly brought under control at 7:14 p.m. and was extinguished at 8:01 p.m.

An investigation has been initiated to determine the fire’s origin, cause, and to provide damage estimates. An update will be sent out once the final investigation report is complete.
