RESIDENTIAL BUILDING FIRE IN HAUULA EXTINGUISHED

On June 12, 2024, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 10:45 a.m. and responded to a building fire at 54-009 Pipilani Place in Hauula with 10 units staffed with 35 personnel. The first unit arrived on scene at 10:49 a.m. to find a working fire at a small, two-story residential home.

Fire fighters secured a water supply, commenced an aggressive fire attack and declared the fire under control at 11:23 a.m. The fire was fully extinguished at 12:30 p.m. A primary and secondary search confirmed there were no occupants in the structure. All HFD personnel were accounted for with no reports of injuries. The American Red Cross was requested to assist two individuals who were displaced from their home.

The HFD Fire Investigator was requested to determine the origin and cause of the fire as well as provide damage estimates. An update will be sent out once the final investigation report is complete.
