On June 13, 2024, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 3:25 p.m. and responded to a building fire at 91-625 Kilaha Street in Ewa Beach with 10 units staffed with approximately 35 personnel. The first unit arrived on scene at 3:30 p.m. to find smoke and flames emanating from the second floor of a medium, two-story townhouse.

Fire fighters secured a water supply, commenced an offensive fire attack and completed a primary and secondary search in both the fire unit and adjacent units and confirmed no occupants were inside the structure. The fire was brought under control at 3:51 p.m. and extinguished at 4:23 p.m. One occupant who exited the structure on her own was transferred to Emergency Medical Services at 3:55 p.m. All HFD personnel were accounted for with no reports of injuries.

An investigation has been initiated to determine the fire’s origin and cause and to provide damage estimates. An update will be sent out once the final investigation report is complete.
