UPDATE: The Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) Investigator has classified the cause of
the fire that occurred on June 17, 2024 at 400 Sand Island Access Parkway in Kalihi as
accidental. The ignition source was an open flame device that was too close to the
exterior wood wall. The damage estimate is $2,000 to the property and $0 to the
contents.
