UPDATE: The Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) Investigator has classified the cause of the fire that occurred on June 18, 2024 at 41-645 Mekia Street in Waimanalo as undetermined. There is insufficient information or evidence at this time to support a probable fire cause determination. The damage estimate is $400,000 to the building and $60,000 to the contents. An adjacent home also suffered minor damage.
