UPDATE: The Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) Investigator has classified the cause of the fire that occurred on July 6, 2024 at Malaai Street and Lawehana Street in Aiea as accidental. The ignition source was an improperly discarded cigarette. The damage estimate is $9,500 to the vehicle and $500 to the contents.
