RESIDENTIAL BUILDING FIRE EXTINGUISHED IN WAHIAWA

On July 12, 2024, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 3:35 a.m. and responded to a building fire at 305 Koa Street, in Wahiawa, with 9 units staffed with approximately 34 personnel. The first unit arrived on scene at 3:39 a.m. to find a working fire with smoke and flames emanating from a small, single-story home.

Fire fighters secured a water supply and commenced an aggressive fire attack with multiple hand lines. Additional fire personnel completed a primary and secondary search to confirm no occupants were inside the structure. The fire was brought under control at 3:52 a.m. and fully extinguished at 4:47 a.m. All HFD personnel were accounted for with no reports of injuries.

An investigation has been initiated to determine the fire’s origin and cause and to provide damage estimates. An update will be sent out once the final investigation report is complete.
