UNRESPONSIVE PERSON RESCUED FROM SLIPPER ISLAND IN KEEHI LAGOON

On July 15, 2024, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 5:49 p.m. and responded to an unresponsive person on Slipper Island in Keehi Lagoon with five units staffed with approximately 13 personnel. The first unit arrived on scene at 5:58 p.m., established command, and launched their rescue boat.

It was reported that a female was unresponsive on Slipper Island. HFD personnel arrived at the patient’s location where they conducted a medical assessment and began CPR. The patient was then safely airlifted to the nearby landing zone where her medical care was transferred to the Emergency Medical Services at 6:25 p.m.

All HFD personnel were accounted for with no reports of injuries.
