On August 7, 2024, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 11:34 a.m. and responded to a building fire at 86-402 Lualualei Homestead Road with 11 units staffed with approximately 36 personnel. The first unit arrived on scene at 11:41 a.m. and found a working fire at a two-story, single-family home.

Fire fighters secured a water supply, commenced an aggressive fire attack and completed a primary and secondary search to confirm no occupants were inside the structure. The fire was brought under control at 11:49 a.m. and fully extinguished at 12:33 p.m.

All HFD personnel were accounted for with no injuries reported.

An investigation has been initiated to determine the fire’s origin and cause as well as to provide damage estimates. An update will be sent out once the final investigation report is complete.
