ONE OCCUPANT EXTRICATED FROM A VEHICLE CRASH IN KAHALUU

On August 10, 2024, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 2:39 a.m. and responded to a motor vehicle collision near the 48-110 Kamehameha Highway in Kahaluu with 4 units staffed with 14 personnel. The first unit arrived on scene at 2:48 a.m. and reported a single vehicle collision with a utility pole.

The vehicle was resting on a hillside against a utility pole. HFD personnel worked to stabilize the vehicle and used battery-powered hydraulic rescue tools to extricate the occupant at 3:41 a.m. Medical care was transferred to the Emergency Services Department at 3:42 a.m.

All HFD personnel were accounted for with no injuries.
