RESIDENTIAL BUILDING FIRE EXTINGUISHED IN WAHIAWA

On August 13, 2024, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 7:24 a.m. and responded to a building fire at 15 Kilea Place in Wahiawa with 10 units staffed with approximately 35 personnel. The first unit arrived on scene at 7:29 a.m. and found a working fire at a single-story, single-family home.

Fire fighters secured a water supply, commenced an aggressive fire attack and completed a primary and secondary search to confirm no occupants were inside the structure. The fire was quickly brought under control at 7:38 a.m. and fully extinguished at 8:05 a.m.

All HFD personnel were accounted for with no injuries reported.

An investigation has been initiated to determine the fire’s origin and cause as well as to provide damage estimates. An update will be sent out once the final investigation report is complete.
