ONE OCCUPANT EXTRICATED FROM A FOUR-VEHICLE CRASH IN NANAKULI

On August 18, 2024, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 6:09 a.m. and responded to a motor vehicle collision near 89-102 Farrington Highway in Nanakuli with 5 units staffed with 15 personnel. The first unit arrived on scene at 6:13 a.m. and reported a four-vehicle accident with one occupant trapped in their vehicle.

HFD personnel stabilized the vehicles and used battery-powered hydraulic rescue tools to extricate the occupant. Medical care was then transferred to Emergency Medical Services at 6:26 a.m. HFD personnel secured the scene and transferred command to the Honolulu Police Department.

All HFD personnel were accounted for with no injuries.
