RESIDENTIAL BUILDING FIRE IN MĀNOA

On November 5, 2024, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 4:52 a.m. and responded to a building fire at 3301 E. Mānoa Road in Mānoa with 11 units staffed with approximately 44 personnel. The first unit arrived on scene at 4:59 a.m. and found a working fire at the rear of the first floor of a two-story residential home.

Fire fighters initiated an aggressive fire attack while attempting to gain access to the interior of the structure. Personnel secured a water supply and continued fire attack from the exterior. A search of the structure was completed and confirmed no occupants were inside the structure. The fire was brought under control at 5:31 a.m. and fully extinguished at 5:59 a.m. The American Red Cross was contacted to assist two displaced residents and their dog.

All HFD personnel were accounted for with no injuries reported.

An investigation has been initiated to determine the fire’s origin and cause as well as to provide damage estimates. An update will be sent out once the final investigation report is complete.
