RESIDENTIAL BUILDING FIRE EXTINGUISHED IN PEARL CITY

On December 20, 2024, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 11:44 a.m. and responded to a building fire at 2269 Akeukeu Street in Pearl City with 8 units staffed with approximately 27 personnel. The first unit arrived on scene at 11:52 a.m. and reports a single-story residential home with smoke visible.

Fire fighters secured a water supply, commenced an aggressive fire attack and completed a primary and secondary search to confirm no occupants were inside the structure. The fire was reported extinguished at 11:57 a.m.

An investigation has been initiated to determine the fire’s origin and cause as well as to provide damage estimates. An update will be sent out once the final investigation report is complete.
