On January 6, 2025, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 1:36 a.m. for a structure fire at 60 North Nimitz Highway and responded with six units staffed with approximately 26 personnel. The first unit arrived at 1:43 a.m.
The first arriving unit forced entry into the apartment and found a single sprinkler activation which contained the fire to the kitchen area. Fire fighters utilized a water extinguisher to extinguish the fire at 1:53 a.m. Personnel shut off the sprinkler and conducted a search to ensure there was no one in the unit at the time of the fire.
The HFD’s Fire Investigator was called to the scene to initiate an investigation to determine the origin and cause of the fire. Fire damage estimates are not available at this time. HFD concluded operations with no reports of injuries.
