On February 2, 2025, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 10:24 p.m. and responded to an overturned vehicle near University Avenue and Dole Street in Manoa with 4 units staffed with 14 personnel. The first unit arrived on scene at 10:27 p.m. and reported a single vehicle accident with one occupant trapped in their vehicle.

HFD personnel stabilized the vehicle and used hydraulic rescue tools to extricate the lone occupant then transferred medical care to Emergency Medical Services at 10:37 p.m. HFD personnel secured the scene and transferred command to the Honolulu Police Department.
