On February 03, 2025, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 2:43 p.m. and responded to a building fire, at 2474 Kapiolani Royale, with 12 units staffed with 57 personnel. The first unit arrived on scene at 2:48 p.m. to find a working fire on the 11th floor of a high-rise building.

Fire fighters secured a water supply, commenced an aggressive fire attack and completed a primary and secondary search to confirm no occupants were inside the apartment unit where the fire originated. The fire was brought under control at 3:11 p.m. and extinguished at 3:15 p.m.

An investigation has been initiated to determine the fire’s origin and cause as well as to provide damage estimates. An update will be sent out once the final investigation report is complete.
