BUILDING FIRE EXTINGUISHED IN WAIPAHU

On February 3, 2025, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 7:33 a.m. and responded to a building fire near 94-378 Pupupani Street in Waipahu, with 7 units staffed with 23 personnel. The first unit arrived on scene at 7:38 a.m. to find light smoke showing inside of the two-story commercial building.

Fire fighters secured a water supply, commenced an aggressive fire attack and completed a search to confirm no occupants were inside of the building. The fire was brought under control at 7:48 a.m. and extinguished at 8:03 a.m.

An investigation has been initiated to determine the fire’s origin and cause as well as to provide damage estimates. An update will be sent out once the final investigation report is complete.
