BUILDING FIRE EXTINGUISHED IN MOKULEIA

On February 21, 2025, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 11:45 a.m. and responded to a building fire at 67-210 Kuhi Street in Mokuleia with 15 units staffed with 50 personnel. The first unit arrived on scene at 11:55 a.m. to find a working fire at the rear corner of a three-story home.

Fire fighters secured a water supply, commenced an aggressive fire attack and completed a search to confirm no occupants were inside the residence. Due to concerns of the structure’s integrity, the strategy was quickly changed from offensive to defensive. Hawaiian Electric Company was notified of a download powerline at the residence and the power was deenergized in the immediate area. The fire was brought under control at 12:38 p.m. and extinguished at 1:45 p.m.

An investigation has been initiated to determine the fire’s origin and cause as well as to provide damage estimates. An update will be sent out once the final investigation report is complete.
