HIKER RESCUED FROM THE MĀNOAFALLS TRAIL IN MĀNOA

On March 23, 2025, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 9:39 a.m. and responded to a hiker in distress on the Mānoa Falls Trail in Mānoa with 5 units staffed with 14 personnel. The first unit arrived on scene at 09:47 a.m. and proceeded to the patient’s location approximately 800 feet from the trail head.

It was reported that a male hiker in his 30’s began hiking on the trail, became ill, and was unable to continue.  HFD personnel conducted a medical assessment and prepared patient to be carried off the trail on foot.  HFD personnel safely exited the trail with the patient and care was transferred to EMS.
