On March 24, 2025, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 7:16 a.m. and responded to a building fire at 1614 Stillman Lane in Nuꞌuanu with 12 units staffed with 47 personnel. The first unit arrived on scene at 7:23 a.m. to find a working fire at a two-story home.
Fire fighters secured a water supply and commenced an aggressive offensive fire attack. The fire was quickly brought under control at 7:31 a.m. and fully extinguished at 7:37 a.m. During a primary search of the home, one occupant was found, unconscious, on the second floor. Fire fighters quickly extricated the occupant and transferred medical care to Emergency Medical Services.
The HFD Fire Investigator has classified the cause of the fire that originated in the bedroom area as accidental.The damage estimate is $189,000 to the building and $5,000 the contents.
