UPDATE: The Honolulu Fire Department Investigator has classified the cause of the fire that occurred on March 26, 2025, at 1224 17th Avenue in Kaimuki, as accidental. The fire was caused by an electrical short of a fan located inside the closet of a studio rental space. The damage estimate is $255,000.
