LARGE RUBBISH FIRE EXTINGUISHED IN KAHALU

On April 1, 2025, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 11:57 a.m. for a large rubbish fire near Waikane Valley Road and Kamehameha Highway and responded with 5 units staffed with approximately 18 personnel. The first unit arrived at the scene at 12:08 p.m. to find a large rubbish pile on fire.

Fire fighters secured a water supply and commenced an offensive fire attack. The fire was extinguished at 2:31 p.m. No structures were threatened or damaged.
