TWO-ALARM BUILDING FIRE EXTINGUISHED IN KAIMUKI

On April 6, 2025, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 4:51 p.m. and responded to a building fire near 3206 Ahinahina Place in Kaimuki with 11 units staffed with 45 personnel. The first unit arrived on scene at 4:58 p.m. to find a small two-story residential structure with heavy smoke emanating from the rear of the structure.

Fire fighters secured a water supply and initiated an aggressive offensive fire attack, bringing the fire under control at 5:09 p.m. A primary search was completed, confirming that no occupants remained in the house. The fire was fully extinguished at 5:20 p.m.

The fire is under investigation to determine the origin and cause as well as to provide damage estimates. An update will be sent out once the final investigation report is complete.
