UPDATE: The Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) Investigator has classified the cause of the fire that occurred on March 19, 2025 at the updated address of 3566 Manoa Road in Manoa as undetermined. There is insufficient information or evidence at this time to support a probable fire cause determination. The area of fire origin was the bedroom. The damage estimate is $715,000 to the property and its contents.

A neighboring property suffered exterior fire damage with losses estimated at $14,000. A total of three fatalities (two occupants and one pet canine) resulted from this fire. There were no smoke detectors present in the structure.
