TWO-ALARM BUILDING FIRE EXTINGUISHED IN WAIPAHU

On April 16, 2025, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 12:57 a.m. and responded to a building fire near 94-107 Hula Street in Waipahu with 10 units staffed with 35 personnel. The first unit arrived on scene at 1:07 a.m. to find a residential structure fully involved in fire. All of the occupants were safely out of the structure at the time.

Fire fighters secured a water supply and initiated a fire attack, bringing the fire under control at 1:34 a.m. The involved structure collapsed during firefighting operations. Fire fighters setup defensive operations to protect adjacent structures.

The fire is under investigation to determine the origin and cause as well as to provide damage estimates. An update will be sent out once the final investigation report is complete.
