ONE OCCUPANTS EXTRICATED FROM A VEHICLE CRASH IN MILILANI

On May 23, 2025, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 4:43 a.m. and responded to an auto accident reported on Kamehameha Highway near Kipapa Gulch with two units staffed with eight personnel. The first unit arrived on scene at 4:52 a.m. with the Honolulu Police Department (HPD) and the Honolulu Emergency Services Department (HESD) already on scene then reported an auto accident involving two vehicles with one of the vehicle’s occupants trapped. Additional HFD units were requested to assist.

HFD personnel stabilized the vehicle and used hydraulic rescue tools to extricate the occupant and transferred medical care to HESD at 5:21 a.m. HFD personnel secured the scene and transferred command to the HPD.
