On May 27, 2025, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 12:47 p.m. and responded to a hiker on the Lulumahu Trail in Nuuanu with 5 units staffed by 13 personnel. The first unit arrived on scene at 1:01 p.m. and ascended the trail on foot to begin the ground search.
It was reported that a female in her 50s had been hiking and suffered an injury. HFD personnel arrived at the hiker’s location and conducted a medical assessment. HFD walked her out to safety where medical care was transferred to the Emergency Medical Services at 1:28 p.m.
