UPDATE: On June 5, 2025, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) resumed the search at 7:00 a.m. for the missing person near the China Walls area in Hawaii Kai with seven units staffed with 16 personnel. HFD focused its efforts on the area between Makapuu and Diamond Head utilizing HFD’s Air 1, Drone 1, Rescue Boat and rescue divers. HFD assets resumed search efforts on June 4, 2025, at 8:06 a.m. and concluded operations at 7:15 p.m.
This is a coordinated search effort involving HFD, HPD, Honolulu Ocean Safety Department, and the U.S. Coast Guard.
