RESIDENTIAL BUILDING FIRE EXTINGUISHED IN AIEA

On June 26, 2025, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 10:13 p.m. and responded to a building fire reported at 98-142 Lipoa Place in Aiea with 9 units staffed with 34 personnel. The first unit arrived on scene at 10:19 p.m. to find a small fire inside a second-floor apartment of a three-story building.

Fire fighters secured a water supply, commenced an aggressive fire attack and completed a search to confirm no occupants were inside the residence. Fire fighters also checked apartments above and next to the fire unit to ensure the fire did not spread.

The fire was brought under control at 10:27 p.m. and fully extinguished at 10:28 p.m. A male in his 20s was assessed by the Emergency Management Services.

An investigation has been initiated to determine the fire’s origin and cause as well as to provide damage estimates. An update will be sent out once the final investigation report is complete.
