On July 20, 2025, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 4:03 p.m. for a building fire at 86-058 Analipo Street in Waianae, and responded with 8 units staffed with 24 personnel. While en route, a large smoke column was observed rising into the air, prompting the incident to be upgraded to a second-alarm emergency with additional resources requested. The first unit arrived on scene at 4:08 p.m., to find smoke and flames emanating from the side of the single-story, residential building.
Fire fighters secured a water supply and initiated an aggressive fire attack with a large, truck-mounted nozzle and handlines to quickly bring the fire under control at 4:14 p.m. All searches for occupants in the building confirmed that no one was inside. Overhaul techniques were performed to look for hidden fires in void spaces of the building to ensure the fire did not extend into other areas of the home. The fire was extinguished at 5:21 p.m.
All HFD personnel were accounted for with no reports of injuries.
The HFD Fire Investigator was requested to determine the origin and cause of the fire and provide damage estimates. Once the final investigation report is completed, an update will be sent out.
