The first unit arrived on scene at 9:52 a.m. to find a working fire involving a large, two-story warehouse.
Fire fighters secured a water supply and commenced with a defensive fire attack. Upon initial knockdown, the structural integrity was further assessed and it was deemed safe to make entry on the Diamond Head side. Fire fighters made entry and were challenged with contents within the building blocking access throughout the fire area. The fire was brought under control at 12:48 p.m. and fully extinguished at 4:46 p.m.
All HFD personnel were accounted for with no injuries reported.
An investigation has been initiated to determine the fire’s origin and cause and to provide damage estimates. An update will be sent out once the final investigation report is complete.
