GOLF CART FIRE EXTINGUISHED IN KAILUA PARKING STRUCTURE

On August 28, 2025, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 11:18 p.m. for a building fire reported at 770 Auloa Road in Kailua and responded with nine units staffed with 34 personnel. The first unit arrived at the scene at 11:30 p.m. to find multiple golf carts on fire on the first floor of the parking structure. Units secured a water supply and commenced with an offensive fire attack.The fire was brought under control at 12:20 a.m. and fully extinguished at 1:19 a.m.

One person was treated by the Honolulu Emergency Services Department for smoke inhalation.

All HFD personnel were accounted for with no injuries.

The HFD Fire Investigator was requested to determine the fire’s origin and cause and to provide damage estimates. An update will be sent out once the final investigation report is complete.
