RESIDENTIAL BUILDING FIRE EXTINGUISHED IN NANAKULI

On October 1, 2025, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 2:33 p.m. and responded to a residential building fire near 87-1648 Farrington Highway in Nanakuli with 12 units staffed with 40 personnel. The first unit arrived on scene at 2:40 p.m. to find a fully-involved fire at a single-story residential structure.

Fire fighters secured a water supply and initiated a defensive operation as the structural integrity of the building was not sound. The fire was brought under control at 4:41 p.m. and fully extinguished at 5:25 p.m.

The American Red Cross was contacted to assist the seven displaced residents – five adults and two children. All HFD personnel were accounted for with no injuries reported.
