On October 2, 2025, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 8:32 a.m. and responded to a residential building fire at 87-1634 Farrington Highway in Nanakuli with 9 units staffed with 25 personnel. The first unit arrived on scene at 8:44 a.m. to find a single-story residential structure involved in fire. This home is at the same address as yesterday’s building fire but is a different and separate unit, entirely.
Fire fighters secured a water supply and initiated an offensive fire attack. The fire was brought under control at 9:20 a.m. and fully extinguished at 9:39 a.m.
All HFD personnel were accounted for with no injuries reported.
An investigation has been initiated and the cause has been classified as incendiary. A full update, including damage estimates, will be sent out once the final investigation report is complete.
