On November 27, 2025, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 call at 5:45 p.m. and responded to a building fire at 55 S. Judd Street in Nuuanu with 10 units staffed with 35 personnel. The first unit arrived on scene at 5:50 p.m. to find smoke visible from a high-rise residential building.

Fire fighters secured a water supply, commenced an aggressive fire attack and completed a search to confirm no occupants were inside the residence. The fire was fully extinguished at 6:04 p.m.

All HFD personnel were accounted for with no injuries reported.

An investigation has been initiated to determine the fire’s origin and cause as well as to provide damage estimates. An update will be sent out once the final investigation report is complete.
